Cubs vs. Dodgers Preview
The Chicago Cubs. The LA Dodgers. The Cubs, with the best record in the National League will kick off the NLDS Wednesday night in Chicago hosting the Dodgers. The Cubs ended the regular season a spectacular 13.5 games better than an LA team who looked dead in the water until getting Manny Ramirez right at the trade deadline from the AL Wild Card Boston Red Sox. Ramirez has been on a tear sence being picked up by the Dodgers, and helped carry the team into the post season.
This is the Cubs year. Really.
Lets us hope that it really is! I cant wait for Wednesday!
The MLB Playoffs
Home field advantage throughout National League Playoffs, this was a big advantage that the Cubs secured yesterday with an easy win over the Mets. This win was of course made easy by Jason Marques 5 RBI night, including one grand slam. The Cubs have the best home record of any NL team this year by a large margin, close to ten full games. Although after a second half road turn around the Cubs have the second best away record behind only the Phillies.
