Week 6 Fantasy Football Retrospective
This is my first installment of my Weekly Fantasy Football Retrospective. With any luck, and some free time, I’ll keep this up on a regular basis.
- If you have Laurence Maroney trade him now! Every year people get all giddy when their RB is the “man” in New England but in actuality this is fools gold. The team scored 59 points in the snow so it’s safe to say their passing attack is back. If you trade Maroney this week you could probably get a decent WR in return like Breaston, Driver, Royal, etc.
Which WR is a better waiver wire pickup right now?
Which RB is the best fantasy option in Pittsburgh?
Polamalu a dirty player?
I couldn’t help but notice that Troy Polamalu was playing out of character yesterday. He’s always played tough but never really been dirty. Until yesterday, when he was repeatedly taking shots at the Titans knees, namely Chris Johnson.
There’s no need to go low on a RB that weighs less than you. Tackle the right way otherwise bad things will happen to you like MCL sprains. I’d like to say I feel bad for Polamalu getting hurt but he deserved it. It’s great how karma works on the football field!
Do you think Crabtree is physically fit to play football right now?
Bengals' Andre Smith breaks foot in practice
Rookie right tackle Andre Smith has broken his foot during practice, only two days after he ended his holdout with the Cincinnati Bengals. He will be sidelined at least a few weeks.
Cubs' Harden, Heilman claimed
Right-handed starter Rich Harden and right-handed reliever Aaron Heilman have been claimed on waivers, according to major-league sources. A National League team was awarded the claim on Heilman, one source said. The claiming team on Harden is not known, but presumably he did not get through the NL, either. Players must pass through their own league first before being exposed on waivers to teams in the other league.
These Giants certainly keep it interesting
“There was an apology at the start, very little offense in the middle, and excruciating levels of frustration and rising near-panic for Giants fans at the end.
Bochy deserves NL Manager of the Year
If Bruce Bochy isn’t named National League Manager of the Year, it will be a grave miscarriage of justice. Generally speaking, baseball managers have much less to do with their team’s success than football coaches, but there are managers who make a difference by infusing their teams with their own personality.
49ers wideout Arnaz Battle keeps plugging away
Arnaz Battle survived when the San Francisco 49ers signed four-time Pro Bowl free agent Isaac Bruce before last season. Battle didn’t budge when the team brought in Brandon Jones this offseason.
