Unfortunately with the holidays in full swing, I do not have time to add comments next to all these picks. But I did want to make them official so you would know who I believe will win each game. If you would like any explanation to any of these picks I have made, please leave a response and I will do my best to get it to you before the game starts. Let’s see who wins in Week 16 and again, I apologize for not including analysis with these predictions.

Last Week: 14-2

Every year the college football fan wants a playoff in such a great sport but never get one. To those of you who think it may come, keep dreaming. The commissioners of some of the big conferences will never change the rules because the bowl system allows them to make the most money. Who cares if the best teams don’t always play for the title because this is after all a business and that’s how those high powered officials treat it. What they don’t realize is how much this hurts the fans and their not giving kids the best opportunity to be a winner.

After a tough week in the predictions blog, it’s time to turn things around. There are a lot of games on the docket that seem like a no brainier. But as evidenced last week, in the NFL there is never a give me game. While upsets could happen, expect things to level off in Week 14.
Last Week: 9-7

Overall: 111-53
Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) at Cleveland Browns (1-11)

Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers

Here’s what we learned after the head injuries that were suffered by many players in Week 11. The next week, those who suffer concussions will not be playing in any games and anytime you need to replace a big time star, your team will struggle. There simply needs to be roster exemptions for teams who need to sit out players that endure a concussion and tell those guys their not playing so the teams can adjust their game plan. As you can see, these players think their on top of the world and can play no matter the symptoms.

Let’s face it, there are a handful of big time games this week surrounded by some lame ducks. Even with a light schedule for Week 14 of college football, the games that will decide a number of conferences are going to be dandies. No need to have a ton of mediocre games because this is the week everyone has been waiting for. Saturday should provide a lot of entertainment and set up some tough decisions for those who pick the teams that play in the BCS bowl games.

On the week of Thanksgiving you will get your football fix with a number of games on the national television circuit. Although the first 2 games aren’t what you want to see (Detroit Lions, Oakland Raiders), it’s still football. You could watch up to 7 games on national television this week, a number you will never see again. If you don’t get your NFL fix on Thanksgiving, have no fears. The best games will be on the weekend. Check out who will come out on top this weekend.

Green Bay Packers (6-4) at Detroit Lions (2-8)

Excitement did not fill the air in Week 12, with the best games coming against muddling teams and only a couple upsets in the mix. This week may not offer anything different, with the big storylines being the match ups of in-state rivals. But with this being a holiday weekend, it may be enough to have us tune in.
