Who will be victorious?
Lakers Ritual
The Los Angeles Lakers new ‘ritual’ on the sideline… Thought it was pretty funny so I decided to share with you all!
Florida State escapes North Carolina
This game was the worst start in Florida State’s history since Bobby Bowden took the reigns. Luckily, our team prevailed and came back to win a close one against North Carolina (and Julius Peppers and Lawrence Taylor). Although I’m happy we won, I think the referees should be questioned about the last call of the game when our defensive back intercepted the ball and took it to the house. The play was called incomplete on the field, but after review it clearly showed the ball never touched the ground – yet it was still called incomplete.
DIRTY hit
I’m just glad this guy was ejected.. These kind of plays are dangerous and very uncalled for. I don’t know whether he’s been fined or not, but I know he will be and I hope he is fined for a very, very large sum of money.
The Fantastic (number) Four
Just like the comic book heroes, Brett Favre has come to save the day. Although he isn’t invisible, nor is he stretchable or made of fire, Favre does seem to be invincible. When Favre isn’t busy saving the world from destruction, he’s leading his new team, the Minnesota Vikings, to the playoffs. Yes, I said playoffs. I’ll be the first to admit that the whole Favre retirement dilemma was ridiculous, drawn out, and overrated. But, yet again, Favre has proven me (and every critic) wrong.
Crabtree, 49ers agree to deal
After months of holding out, wide receiver Michael Crabtree has agreed to a contract with the San Francisco 49ers, league sources tell ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Crabtree will get a six-year deal that he can void to five years if he meets undefined performance clauses, a league source told ESPN’s Michael Smith. The 22-year-old Crabtree is expected to report to the team’s training facility Wednesday.
Edwards traded to Jets
The Cleveland Browns traded Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets on Wednesday morning according to a league source, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported.
Bowden's Future Uncertain
Long-time head coach of the Florida State Seminoles, Bobby Bowden, has been called out by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees to resign. The question many are asking is: Is it truly his time to go? Are the recent disappointing seasons truly his fault?
Wilford back with Jaguars
Before Ernest Wilford left the Jaguars as a free agent after the 2007 season, the team tried to convince him to switch to tight end. Wilford refused and it paid off for him because he got a contract that included $6 million in guaranteed money from the Miami Dolphins. The problem is that the Dolphins found out Wilford is not fast enough to be a top wide receiver. Wilford played in 70 games and caught 144 passes for the Jaguars in four years, but he caught only three passes for the Dolphins last season. The Dolphins switched him to TE, but they cut him Monday and now he rejoins the Jaguars.
Jaguars have front-row seat for return of Vick
The Philadelphia Eagles are keeping Michael Vick under wraps this week as he prepares to end his two-year exile, against the Jaguars on Thursday night. Vick isn’t holding a news conference before the game, and the team isn’t providing any comments about from him. The Eagles are probably trying to downplay his return, because there might be protesters outside Lincoln Financial, and it’s anybody’s guess what the reaction will be from the fans. Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio won’t play his starters that long, because the Jaguars are playing their third game in 11 days.
