Begnals sign Larry Johnson so other teams won't

Tuesday, November 17, 2009 - 10:44am Marvin Lewis must be a fantasy football player because he just did something which lends itself to believe so. The Begnals recently signed free agent RB Larry Johnson for the rest of the year. He’s making a prorated portion of the veterans minimum, which is next to nothing for him, but don’t expect him to see any relevant time on the field soon.
Looking at this move and the comments made by Coach Lewis, saying that LJ will be 4th string and working on the scout team, I can’t help but think that the Bengals made this move to block other would-be AFC teams from signing LJ.
