Who is more likely to keep their game started streak alive?

0 points
Tuesday, July 15, 2008 - 9:30am
Everyone knows Brett Favre has the record for most starts in a row at the QB position. However, when he "retired" during the off-season, everyone believed that streak would be over and that the active QB streak holder, Peyton Manning, would soon overtake Favre in that record. However, recently, Manning had knee surgery and will miss 4-6 weeks, which will include training camp, pre-season games, and possibly Week 1 of the season. So who's going to keep their streak going?
Brett Favre will keep his streak going with some team.
25% (2 votes)
Peyton Manning will make it back from injury and keep his streak going.
38% (3 votes)
Both will keep their streaks going for their respective teams.
38% (3 votes)
Neither will keep their streaks going when it comes to Week 1.

What do you think about the home field stipulation added onto the All Star Game?

0 points
Monday, July 14, 2008 - 7:17am
Ever since a few years ago, MLB added the stipulation of whichever league won the All-Star game would get home field advantage during the World Series. What do you think about that?
It finally makes the game worth something.
29% (2 votes)
It was not a bad idea but it puts lots of pressure on just one game.
14% (1 vote)
Home field advantage should go back to alternating every year or by the team with the best regular season record.
14% (1 vote)
Horrible decision because it takes the fun out of the Midsummer Classic and forces managers to not play All Stars just to win.

What should the Packers do with Brett Favre?

0 points
Friday, July 11, 2008 - 4:48pm
Favre wants his unconditional release, which would give him free reign to choose where he wants to sign (Washington Redskins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, Carolina Panthers, etc.). The Packers would rather want him to stay retired or trade him to a team they won't have to face, but with 3 years and over $36 million left on the contract, he will be difficult to trade. What should the Packers do?
Keep him, thus forcing him to stay retired because the organization is sticking behind Rodgers.
50% (6 votes)
Trade him to a team that they won't face and is willing (and able) to reconstruct his contract.
25% (3 votes)
Give him his release, but put conditions on it so it'll be hard for Favre to sign and will definitely piss off him.
0% (0 votes)
Give Favre his unconditional release.
17% (2 votes)
I wish all of this Favre news would stop after 3 straight offseasons of "I'm retiring, or maybe I'm not".

Best Fantasy RB other than Peterson & Tomlinson

0 points
Friday, July 11, 2008 - 1:22pm

In the first round of your NFL fantasy draft, the first two picks of your league should be Peterson, then Tomlinson or Tomlinson, then Peterson. Either way after those two picks is when the difficulty begins. To most, the next 3 RBs that can be said in the same tier as Tomlinson & Peterson are Steven Jackson of the St. Louis Rams, Brian Westbrook of the Philadelphia Eagles, and Joseph Addai of the Indianapolis Colts.
