Given the choice… Marshawn Lynch and LJ both have great rushing schedules, but Portis proved he was a force to be reckoned with again last year. He has received a lot of praise in the offseason, and I think he will be a big part of what Washington does on offense this year. Larry Johnson would be up there or close behind Portis on my list, but I think Portis will be less likely to become the focus of a defense. A struggling passing game could make LJ’s year a tough one.
I’m not so sure I really like Barber because the Cowboys still score a lot with the passing game. He’ll get his, but I don’t think he’ll make a significant jump just because he’s now the starter with Felix Jones coming in to change the pace. He will probably stay about the same as far as stats go. MJD has about the same chances of success. People are high on him every year because he could take over for Fred Taylor, but I prefer to have a running back that doesn’t share the load — regardless of how much Jacksonville runs.
Marshawn Lynch you can sleep on a little bit because he isn’t going in a lot of drafts until the second round. Imagine being able to snag Portis/Lynch of Larry Johnson/Lynch. Not a shabby combo. I’d take it.
