I say yes and no to RB RB depth is fantastic this year and you have to say there isn’t anyone really a must take after about the first six backs. My strategy is to get an RB in the first two rounds, then an RB in rounds 3 or 4, then get a third back in rounds 5 or 6. You can get a strong third guy like Matt Forte, DeAngelo Hall, Felix Jones, Rashard Mendenhall in the middle rounds. The problem though, is that most other owners are still overvaluing RBs, so I’ve seen certain backs go 1-2 rounds earlier than Average Draft Position would normally indicate. Makes things dicey.
So the RB position this year is still subjectively important to owners, but the strength of the position in helping your team is less than years past due to injuries and the waiver wire, e.g. you can always find a guy like Ryan Grant or Earnest Graham on waivers. – Freddie Footballer
