Should I wait for a QB or take one in the first 6 rounds?

I think there’s a severe drop off at the 7th round, after the first 7-8 QBs go. But should I wait on a guy like Matt Schaub, Brett Favre, or Tavaris Jackson and stock up on RBs and WRs? What do you guys think?

QB I think the crucial part of a draft is to have a good QB. You can’t wait pass 6th round for a QB! I’m going for a QB in the 4th or 5th round this year in a standard 12 team league. Matt Schaub looks pretty good and no doubt Brett Farve is awesome. I think Brett Farve’s going to make the WR on his team good this year. I think a lot of people will draft Brett Farve as their QB in 5th round!

Take top 4 or snag late…you’re call If you want to take a QB early, there are only 4 worth taking in the first six rounds: Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees.

If you miss out on those four, wait on your QB until the sixth or seventh rolunds, but don’t wait so long that you end up with someone like Matt Schaub or Brett Favre. They are both high-end QB2s but not QB1s.

Go with someone like Derek Anderson, David Garrard or Jay Cutler. You can get them all pretty late. Just keep an eye out after the top 4 go and make sure you take a QB around rounds 5 or 6 if the rest of the best QBs start to go off the board.

If you get a low-end QB1 like Cutler or Garrared, you should also try to back them up with someone like Favre or Schaub so that you have a strong core group of QBs. It’s crtical this year as tfactor said to have strong play from your QBs on your fantasy team.
