Smith will provide the versatility to work at any spot on the offensive line. He has starting experience, and was a quality signing for Houston.
Bucs to host Jones

Our View
The Bucs are looking for a safety to replace Sabby Piscitelli, so Jones will get a fair shake, but it should be known that the club is also looking at Gibril Wilson and Brodney Pool.

Bears sign FB Williams

According to Brad Biggs on Twitter, the Bears have signed fullback Eddie Williams to a one-year contract.
Our View
Williams, a seventh-round pick last season, will fight for a roster spot in camp. He broke his leg in practice last November while with the Redskins, so his season was cut short, but he has some definite ability.
Parker not on Buccaneers' radar?

Parker had trouble staying healthy as of late, and will turn 30 in November. He is no longer the same running back that racked up 1,494 rushing yards in 2006, and is not a hot target in free agency.
Pitts hopes to re-sign with Texans

Pitts is coming off microfracture surgery, and wants the chance to show Houston he can bounce back healthy. He was a solid starter at left guard prior to injuring his right knee last year.
Hamdan heads to Toronto

Gibran Hamdan has reportedly signed a deal with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL, according to the league's official twitter page. The contract will expire after the 2011 season.
Our View
Hamdan did not have good odds of seeing the field in the NFL next season, so joining the CFL looks to be a good move for him.
Faulk to remain with Patriots

Kevin Faulk has agreed to a deal to remain with the Patriots, according to the Boston Globe. Terms were not disclosed.
Our View
Faulk has been a member of the Patriots since 1999, and has been among their most valuable running backs over that span, namely as a pass catcher out of the backfield.
Terry to visit Indianapolis

Adam Terry is slated to visit the Colts Thursday, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
Our View
The Ravens did not place a tender on Terry, so he is free to sign with another team. Terry will be trying to bounce back in 2010 after missing the entire 2009 campaign due to knee surgery.
Mason staying in Baltimore
