Will they come to play tomorrow?
Any ideas as to why Odom and Gasol played like junior high kids on tuesday? I don’t know whether to credit the Celtics’ defense on Odom or just put forward the idea that he’s insane. Gasol looked like he forgot the offense and was totally uncomfortable with the looks Boston gave him.
The Lakers CANNOT win this series if they play the kind of offensive ball they played tuesday. They were saved by a shocking defensive effort that contrasted sharply with the first two games. If Vujacic has to score 20 for LA to win by six, something is wrong. I don’t see adjustment problems more than the simplicity of finishing at the rim as what LA lacked in game three.
Predictions?

Agreed
The Lakers squeaked by, and they are not playing like they did in the previous series. Give Boston credit, they are forcing their halfcourt style and defensive will on the Lakers. I don't see the Lakers running up and down the court very much and getting transition buckets. Somethings got to change if they want a real shot at winning this thing.- Freddie Footballer

I think Gasol is out of gas
Odom has at least been streaky but Gasol has been seemingly non-existent since midway through the Spurs series. Makes sense too. It's not as if Pau spent time this past offseason thinking he was going to be in the NBA Finals. I'm sure Gasol thought he'd be in Spain preparing for the Olympics in June so he's climbing uphill. -bB
