The goal by Donovan was awesome
man. what a game. the US has some learning to do from the second half but it did everything right in the first half. great tournament but still you get the feeling that they let it slip away. hopefully they build on this and keep improving.
there is no where to go from here except ahead. they fought hard, and they played great in the first half. I really though we had the Brazilians beat, but they showed the world today why they are one of the top ranked teams in the world. we still have to look at what we accomplished. we got to the finals, which has never been done before and we ended Spain’s winning streak.
we still got owned by Brazil though.
i began to believe after the first half and giving up a goal in the first minute of the second half doomed us. we got a lot of positives out of this tournament and overall, we’re showing progress heading into next year.
