he scores a magnificent header off a cross and now dempsey just scored just outside the penalty area. a spin and shot! wow! 3-1 US Correction. they waived it off. no score by demps. we're headed to halftime. what a game.

my hero of the half

Tim Howard - he's made some pretty impressive stops. the US has had only a few chances but has made the most of them. Mexico is providing pressure pretty much throughout. All the goals scored thus far have been impressive.

get Moor off the field. He's a liability. He's already allowed two goals to Magallon on runs on set pieces, this time on a corner. Wheres Cherundolo or Spector when we need them? Put Parkhurst in as right back. geez!

things getting chippy

howard and del negris get into it after the latter slides into howard after the US GK clears. on the other end, bobby convey convey gets upended. no foul. wtf!

Moor almost gave up a third goal. Bradley and Dempsey off for Feilhaber and Adu. Hope it works magic.

US and Mexico tie, 2-2

would've liked to see the US win but I'll take it. Mexico took it to us, and we hung on.

Good: we tied, despite playing poorly. They outplayed us plain and simple. Jozy looks great, not just on his stunning goal. Adu was ok, he doesn't play enough D but had a couple nice touches on the ball. Tim Howard was on, while the rest of the team wasn't.


Bad: Our backline played horribly, in particularly Drew Moor and Ramiro Corrales. They don't deserve a callup again. Our central midfield tandem didn't work, despite Bob Bradley trying different configurations. We got almost nothing from Convey. Donovan have his typical impact, only a couple decent runs. I wish they wouldn't let him take set pieces anymore, he's horrible.

Mexico took it to us tonight, I feel lucky too. They would've probably beat us any other night.
