Exciting

they're interviewing Archie Manning right now. Terry Bradshaw: "was there a rivalry between Peyton and Eli?"
Mr. Manning: "oh yeah."

Jimmy Johnson interviewing Belichick

talk about softballs he's tossing at Bill. Must have to do with the fact they're really good friends. Objective reporting, nice, Fox!

is the roof going to be opened or closed?

if it's closed then Belichick might be in trouble. his play-calling satellites in the lower atmosphere won't be able to see the field, hehe. -bB

oooh

low blow, Bobby. Man, the best part of this inane pregame show is Frank Caliendo. He's hilarious. He's doing an imitation of Jay Leno.

what a heave by Eli and catch by Amani Toomer

Eli just threw it up for grabs and Toomer (with the help of a little hand to the CB's facemask) caught the ball and kept both feet inbounds along the sideline. But...that all goes for naught when a pass gets tipped by Steve Smith and Ellis Hobbs intercepts and returns to about the 35 if I saw correctly.

2nd turnover for Pats

almost. The Giants can't expect to make mistakes and have a chance to win this game. But the Giants get it back somehow on the fumble by Ahmad Bradshaw. - Freddie Footballer

Brady sacked twice!

well, the Giants are getting pressure on Brady, that's for sure. Turning into a bit of a punt-fest with about 7 minutes left before half. - Freddie Footballer

Brady fumbles, Giants recover

it must've brought back memories for Raiders fans, but Brady was stripped as he cocked the back to pass. It wasn't moving forward at the of the strip, and Giants recover. Stat just popped up - Brady's been sacked three times and knocked down six times thus far.
Manning and Co. try the Hail Mary - Steve Smith should've had a shot at catching it - but it falls without being caught and we head to halftime.

TD Giants!

5 yard pass to David Tyree and the Giants up 10-7. The game is finally picking up. Big play on the drive was a 30 yard play from Manning to Kevin Boss.

17-14 Giants!

what a fourth quarter! Manning on a ten yard pass. 30 seconds to go. Can the Pats tie or win it and meet destiny? Or will they go 18-1?- Freddie Footballer

and the Giants win it

not without a valiant effort by the Pats to win it at the end. Strange ending with Belichick running off the field with :01 left. WTF? Big plays for the Giants were 1) the "escape" by Manning (this close to being sacked) and getting it downfield to David Tyree, 2) the sideline pass to Steve Smith for a first down and 3) obviously the GW TD catch by Plax.

I don't know if the Giants were that much of an underdog, at least LV and the media didn't give them much of a chance. But anyone worth their salt knew that the Giants were a good team, playing well. Good for Eli and company. As for the Pats, it was still amazing for them to go 16-0 and then 18-0. They'll still be considered one of the best teams of all time, even though they didn't win it based on their record. At least we won't have to worry about any asterisk due to spygate.:)

p.s. man, that was some emotion Plax showed in the post-game interview.
