Issac Bruce
What does the signing of 35 year old Issac Bruce say about the lack of quality receivers the Niners currently have?

exactly
the signing says that the Niners receiving corps stinks. They need to get someone like TO or Brandon Marshall, a playmaker basically. Javon Walker, if he's healthy, is not a bad guy, he's just questionable due to injury.- Freddie Footballer

nice point Bluechip
I completely forgot that he has a good rapport with Martz. He should help the other WRs (when they get some) get acquainted with the system more rapidly.Reply

he'll be a good locker room guy
not sure what he'll get done on the field but in essence he's going to be a player/WR Coach. Bruce understands Martz's offense better than any other WR alive so that'll be key in teaching the other players on the squad. having said that, the 49ers really should make a play for Javon Walker or some other elite WR talent. -bB
