Brandon Roy’s walk did almost as much to alleviate concerns about his left knee as his mouth did Wednesday. The Portland Trail Blazers guard smiled as he strolled out of the back hallway at the team’s practice facility without the aid of crutches, just six days after having torn meniscus cartilage in the knee surgically repaired. Roy called the procedure the “best case scenario,” said he felt great and would be ready for the start of training camp in early October.
