The Phillies have reached an agreement with the Oakland Athletics to acquire right-handed pitcher Joe Blanton in attempts to strengthen their shaky starting rotation.

again! wow. this is looking more and more like a minor league team but they somehow keep a winning record. i don’t know what’s more amazing, how many moves Beane is willing to pull, or that the A’s somehow are keeping pace with the Angels despite losing their starters.

Don’t know anything about the guys they got in the deal. But that pitcher Outman better live up to his name and get guys out!

Gallagher Won Last Time The pitcher they acquired from Chicago beat the Angels last Friday. Who knows?

Blanton was a great pick up by the Phillies. They get a quality starter that pitches deep into games and can finally get some wins now that he has an offense to give him run support!
