Accrding to ESPN’s Buster Onley, the Cincinatti Reds seems to be the most aggressive team out there looking to trade for Joe Blanton. The Reds are looking for a solid #2 behind Aaron Harang and ahead of #3 starter Bronson Arroyo to add depth to a shaky starting rotation. But with the recent injurie to Curt Schilling of Boston and Kelvin Escobar of the Angels, expect both those teams to heavily consider persuing Joe Blanton in the coming weeks. Yankees and Dodgers have also engages in some talks as well.
Let the Joe Blanton sweepstakes begin!
He will definitely provide stabilty to whatever team can acquire him. Expect about 200 IP and at least 14 wins with a decent ERA and a good K-BB ratio.
go ahead Joe Billy’s selling the entire team anyway, you might as well move on to greener pastures.
