San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers
I think the Lakers got this one in the bag. Although one can never be too careful against the defending champs San Antonio Spurs. If I have to watch T.P., Duncan, and Ginobli in the finals again I think I am going to be sick. 2008 is the year of The Kobe. He is MVP and he finally has the firepower behind him to win this one by himself. This is Kobe’s stage, I expect big things from him and I believe he will be Finals MVP. Gasol and Odom have been playing reasonably well but I think they can step it up. I would really like to see the Lakers step up the defense and lock down on the Spurs. The Spurs are capable of winning the series but they look tired and worn down from the series versus the Hornets. CP3 and David West took it to the Spurs and wore the old, creaky veterans down. I would like to see some more physical and aggressive play by Luke Walton, my favorite player ont he Lakers. He is a utility player that does all the intangibles. I also expect Phil to step up the coaching in these next few games, and also through the Finals. I think this is the Lakers yar. I am hoping for a Lakers vs. Celtics Finals, however I think a Lakers vs. Pistons matchup would go over just as well.
3-1 What a strange ending to a great game. The Lakers have proven they can win away from home and now will look to close out the defending champs in LA. Props to the winners for making this opportunity for themselves. As an aside, Kobe shot 0 free throws tonight.
strange indeed was a strange ending..imagine how hard the lakers would have protested if they called that foul though, at the end of the game your aloud to get away with stuff like that..you got to foul the guy (i.e. push off) to get an open shot if your the offender (ex. jordan, miller)
