Urijah Faber is a superstar. He has been one of my favorite fighters since I first saw him fight a couple of years ago. Faber is versatile and utilizes attacks from all angles. His striking ability has improved greatly over the past couple fights. I thought after the first round it looked like he was going to knock Pulver out. Pulver came through and started landing some punches of his own in the second and third round. Towards the end of the fight Pulver looked gassed and his age was definitely a factor. It looked however that Pulver sort of gave up at the end of the fight, and there was not a sense of urgency to take it hard to the young star and throw some haymakers in order to eek out the win. I think Faber is ready to take on the UFC lightweights. I would definitely like to see Faber fight Sean Sherk and Kenny Florian. The one loss on his resume was to Tyson Griffin, an up and coming UFC 155-pounder. Faber would do excellent in the lightweight division. However I think the UFC should open up its weight classes to include a 145-featherweight division. I think Faber can be a dominant lightweight champion in the UFC, he definitely has the skills and the heart. It is really fun watching him fight as he wears down opponents with his relentless cardio. He is extremely skilled on the ground wrestling at UC Davis, and training under the BJJ Champion Cassio Werneck. Faber is the man, and he has a great future in front of him. He is definitely a true champion.
he has aggie pride! Urijah is my favorite mma fighter to watch. he’s like Bam Bam and I can’t see him losing to anybody in the WEC. -bB
