Blog post by Dr. Mike Pick, 3 months ago

With the first week of preseason almost done, it’s a good time to start speculating about this year’s potential sleepers. Check out my current list.

  1. Greg Jones
  2. Darrell Jackson
  3. DeSean Jackson
  4. Andre Hall
  5. Andre Davis
  6. Ricky Williams
  7. Maurice Morris
  8. Robert Meachem

not bad I like DeSean Jackson, Ricky Williams and Robert Meachem! Brees should be back to his old form this year!

Good value picks I think I would still classify Maurice Morris and Ricky Williams as value picks rather than sleepers. Both could share time or start for their respective teams early this season. Seattle hasn’t exactly clarified how the sharing will work between Julius Jones and Maurice Morris yet, and Morris knows the system already.

Some pretty deep sleepers otherwise. Meachem looked good a few days ago in his preseason debut. He worked out with David Patten in the offseason, but I think Patten still keeps ahead of him in the WR depth chart in New Orleans. He’s one to watch.

Andre Davis could show some more if AJ goes down hurt again this year…

no on D-Jax I heard he was overtaken by Eddie Royal on the depth chart in Denver. Disappointment in SF, disappointment in Denver.
