I like the way you think L.T. is tops. A.P./Westbrook def somewhere there at #2. Really, I’d love to land the 3 pick and just take whichever of those three doesn’t get snagged by others.

I think the next safest pick after they are off the board is Addai for sure. After that, I think I might be liking Frank Gore more than Larry Johnson or Steven Jackson this year. If Martz comes through, he could be a big factor in that offense and return to the Frank Gore we all knew and loved.

Tom Brady — although taking a QB is a little unorthodox — would seem like a better pick after that right around where people start to snag the backs who aren’t guarantees this year. I would take Brady/Barber/Jones-Drew/Marshawn Lynch all around the same area. Steven Jackson and Larry Johnson are probably in that area too, but frankly, I wouldn’t want to touch them right now.

One notable addition that I think should be considered near the top for 2008 is Clinton Portis. I’ve been hearing things, and I like what I hear.

Anyway, that’s just a few of my thoughts. I’ll be posting more ranking articles in the next few weeks to Fantasy Football Fools.

thanks for the comment Portis gets it done when healthy, but his injury concerns are something I’d rather not worry about. He’s definitely a risk vs reward type player. Looking forward to your rankings too. I simply can’t wait for the fantasy football season to begin.

never liked Larry Johnson he’s weak and is a cry baby. Don’t think he wants to be an elite player in the NFL. No thanks. I’d only take him if the value was too good to pass up.

upgrade sjax? the top of the list is solid but I might move SJax over Addai and Westbrook. I know it’s weird to say that he’s lesser of a health risk than Addai and Westbrook since he was hurt for most of last year but I think it’s true. Addai gets banged up pretty easily and needs to be spelled a lot. Westbrook, well, he’s one of the best in the league but on of these days his knees are going to fall off. -bB

Bluechip Sjax got hurt last year as well. Maybe I’m a bit bitter since I drafted him in two fantasy leagues, making it pretty rough throughout the whole season.
